Paris man denied new trial

PARIS, TX-- For the second time in less than 18 months the Texas Court of Appeals has reversed a previous decision.

Last may, District Judge Eric Clifford recommended to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals that Danny Holloway get a new trial.

Clifford's recommendation was denied, and Holloway will not have a second chance at freedom.

Holloway was found guilty in 2002 for the stabbing death of Ashley Lee during a fight outside a Paris nightclub.

He's been in prison ever since.
