PARIS, TX -- A single vehicle accident this morning closed a busy street in Paris for about six hours.
Paris Police responded to the 2700 block of Lamar around nine this morning. They say a 46-year-old Paris man was driving an SUV when he veered off the road and struck a utility pole.
Officers say utility wires had been pulled from the poles and were lying on the ground all the way to East Price street. Utility companies are working diligently to restore services to that area.
The driver told police he had worked all night and apparently fell asleep. Nobody was injured.
