PONTOTOC COUNTY, OK -- The Pontotoc County Sheriff helped arrest a man wanted in connection to a shooting last month that forced Ada schools to be put on lock down.
According to police, 29-year-old Billy McNeil was stopped over the weekend after an officer noticed he wasn't wearing a seat belt.
The officer recognized McNeil, who then drove off.
McNeil hit a car then took off on foot.
Sheriff John Christian was able to corner McNeil with his vehicle and arrest him.
He's being held in the Pontotoc County Jail.
