POTTSBORO, TX -- Drivers will now have to slow down when driving through the city of Pottsboro.
The council unanimously approved a new speed ordinance Monday night.
Dropping the limit on city streets and residential areas to 25-miles per hour from 30.
Mayor Frank Budra says the decision stems from a proposal last august, to change the speed limit along Cardinal lane.
Budra says the council decided it would be easier to make the speed limit the same throughout the city.
The speed change does not apply to State Highway 289 and FM 120.
Budra says the city will start putting up the new signs tomorrow.
