GAINESVILLE, TX - The pre-trial of a Gainesville woman and her boyfriend, accused in connection with the death of the woman's 4-year old son, has been set for May 2nd.

Nathan De AleJandro's mother, Catrina Maldonado, and boyfriend Johnny Earl Alexander, were both indicted for injury to a child, a first degree felony.

Alexander's parents, Johnny Lee Alexander, and his wife Maltide, will also appear in court the same day.

The 4-year-old boy died September 24TH, when he was found not breathing at his mother's Gainesville home on Dover Drive.
Officials say the four were charged for not reporting severe burns on Nathan's body before his death.
Court records show, Johnny Earl Alexander, served an eight year prison sentence for injury to another child.

"I want to know what caused it, I want to know what happened, I want to know why they didn't render aid to that baby, they had him for 3 days, how can you look at a child that's that injured day in and day out, and not do anything to help him, any mother with any heart, would take that baby for help." said Nathan's grandmother, Debbie Ramirez.

The Cooke County District Attorney's office says, if convicted, all four could face life in prison.
