Presiding judge speaks at Ardmore High School

The presiding judge of the Oklahoma court of criminal appeals gave Ardmore High School students some words of wisdom this morning.

David Lewis is the first African American to serve as presiding judge.
He told the students about challenges he faced, growing up in Ardmore, and said achieving your goals comes down to three things.

"Dreaming, commitment and sacrifice," said Lewis. "Because we all expect these young people to do great things."

Lewis is a native of Ardmore and a graduate of Ardmore High School.
