Pushmataha Co. Sheriff's Office continues search for escaped inmate

PUSHMATAHA CO., OK -- The Pushmataha County Sheriff's office continues to search for an inmate that escaped Sunday evening.

Sheriff Terry Duncan says Clayton Scraper remains at large Wednesday, but says they do have strong leads on his location.

Duncan says a helicopter with thermal imaging was in the air last night but had little success.

Michael Avery was captured late Monday night 1 mile north of Highway 70 on 2-71 in Choctaw County

The sheriff says the men escaped after overpowering a guard Sunday night.

US Marshals and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol have been assisting in the search.
