If you've been waiting for your Texas Voter Registration Card in the mail, you're not alone. The fight in Austin over redistricting is holding things up.
Fannin County clerk Tammy Biggar tells us the cards are normally mailed out by this time in odd numbered years, but all Texas voter registrars are at a standstill until the Department of Justice clears the newly drawn Texas by the Legislature earlier this year. This means no Voter Registration Cards can be sent out until they are ordered to do so.
The case is to go before the U.S Supreme Court next month.
