SHERMAN, TEXAS -- Fulbelli's restaurant has only been open five short months, but they're already expanding with big plans to wine and dine Texomans.

"We are very excited about the piano lounge. This antique piano will actually get moved into the area next week," Heather Larosa said.

Fulbelli's co-owner Larosa is bringing a piano lounge to downtown Sherman, opening one of just a handful of full-service bars in the area.

"Adult evening out. You go, have a drink, listen to some nice music," Larosa said.

Larosa grew up in Pottsboro and she says for years, she's watched many Texomans head to the metroplex for weekend fun.

"Grayson County loses a lot of revenue to people who travel south. McKinney's too close, Allen's too close. So, if we can offer something that keeps some of that revenue here, we all benefit," Larosa said.

And not only that: she says there are plenty of people here who want to keep their money local.

"There's a real hunger here in Sherman for elevated dining experience. There's only a handful of places you go if you want to go out for a nice evening," Larosa said.

Fulbelli's customer Becky Roberts says she will definitely take advantage of the lounge.

"Cause most people go to McKinney, Plano, Frisco because they like that kind of atmosphere, and I think that if we had something like that down here, that would be a great addition to our downtown area," customer Becky Roberts said.

Larosa says that with new downtown initiatives, like the Sherman streetscape project, she's confident that downtown Sherman is moving in the right direction.

"You drive down here and all the bones are here, it just needs to be cultivated. I think that having a couple of good, anchor restaurants down here will really help to do that," Larosa said.
