GRAYSON COUNTY, TX -- Texas State Troopers will be cracking down on commercial vehicles over the next three days.
As part of Operation Road Check 2012 troopers and specially trained civilians will help check drivers' licenses and log books. They will also track the number of hours drivers are spending behind the wheel. Last year's road check revealed that over 25 percent of vehicles inspected had serious violations.
The commercial vehicle safety association says the road checks saved hundreds of lives by keeping unsafe big rigs off the roads.
