S&S Middle School evacuated because of gas leak

SOUTHMAYD, TX -- S and S middle school students were evacuated to the high school Tuesday, after someone reported a possible gas leak.

School officials say someone detected a strong gas smell outside the middle school building.

Students walked to the high school and that's where they were picked up.

School officials say ATMOS was able to repair the leak and classes will resume as normal Wednesday morning.
