DENISON, TX -- Hundreds of area kids are still waiting for gifts, and the Salvation Army is asking for your help.
Salvation Army Major Don Wildish says this year they are collecting toys for 3,000 kids in their Angel Tree program, but more than 400 of the adopted kids haven't gotten their toys in yet.
He says the Angel trees are now empty, and they are reminding donors to drop off the toys at the Salvation Army in Sherman or Denison as soon as possible.
"If you can please get them in til Monday, certainly it gives us enough time on Monday and Tuesday to get them into the right bag and get them connected to the right family," said Wildish.
Wildish says they will start giving out toys and donations to families on the 19th.
