Salvation Army in Paris opens emergency shelter for homeless

PARIS, TX -- The Salvation Army in Paris has stepped up and opened an emergency shelter after a homeless coalition was formed in Paris.

The Salvation Army converted their transient shelter into an emergency shelter, after finding there was a need for one in Lamar County.

One of the main concerns from the newly formed homeless coalition in Paris was an emergency shelter for those in need in Paris and Lamar County.

The shelter is able to house eight men and one family and will also provide a meal and showers.
