Semi crashes into Durant restaurant parking lot
DURANT, OK - An 18-wheeler went across U.S. Highway 69/75, hit a car, and then crashed into a pole in the McDonald's parking lot off Main Street.
Just before 10 this morning a semi truck went off U.S. Highway 69/75, made its way down the exit ramp towards Main Street, and stopped just before running into the McDonald's off Main Street.
Police believe the driver may have been unconscious at the wheel. When he lost control of the semi, he went off the road, hit a car, and then crashed into a poll, barely missing a McDonald's restaurant.
Police say the driver's condition is unknown. He's being treated at a hospital. They are trying to clear the area now. and aren't sure how long that will take.
