SHERMAN, TX -- It was a night of giving in Grayson County this evening. More than 20 non-profit organizations were awarded money raised at this year's 57th annual Service League Charity Ball.
The event that took place last month brought in more than $67,000 dollars. The Child and Family Guidance Center was one of agencies to benefit from the fundraiser.
"The service league is just absolutely instrumental in our beginning and they have supported us all these years so we are just delighted and we so appreciate their effort," Brenda Hayward, with Child and Family Guidance Center, said.
"We get chills giving away this money. It's a big deal," Darah Stephns, with the Service League, said.
They say more than 400 people attended this years charity ball the biggest turnout they have ever had.
