Sherman Chamber of Commerce hosts last Hot Summer Nights for the summer

SHERMAN, TX -- Thursday, hundreds of people poured into 903 Brewers for the last Hot Summer Nights concert of the season.

Lauren Roth with the Sherman Chamber says despite the weather, about 300 people came out to enjoy live music by the band, Breaking Southwest.

Since the weather forced the event to move indoors many times, Roth says it gave the community a chance to explore venues in Sherman.

"We had it at Knight Furniture which is great for them. We had it here at 903, where they've only been open for a year so some people know about them, but the're not that well known in the community," Roth said. "It was great to help out some of these small businesses and Knight, that's a larger business, get their name out there a little more."

Roth says this year's series was a huge success with a turnout averaging between 300 to 500 people every week.
