SHERMAN, TEXAS -- Sherman police are investigating 16 acts of vandalism that happened across Sherman over the holiday weekend, ranging from a broken window at Hobby Lobby, to broken car windows and slashed tires.

By now, most of the vandalism is cleaned up, but the victims remain frustrated.

"It's ridiculous. They need to grow up and, you know, if they're teenagers, come on, stop it. You're costing a lot of people a lot of money that they just don't have," vandalism victim Crystal Snow said.

Snow's car was damaged outside Sherman Oaks apartments Friday night.

Police say vandals struck multiple vehicles lining the apartment complex that night, including Aaron Williams' rental car.

"It looked like someone was randomly going car to car: hit a car, skip over, hit a car, maybe they had a little bat or something like that. Just criminal mischief," Williams said.

Saturday night, Frank Dombrowski's KC lights were ripped off his truck, parked at the same apartments.

"Someone had gotten on the top of my truck and took my off-road lights off the top of my truck. It's pretty aggravating because I work for what I have and someone takes it away from me," Dombrowski said.

Dombrowski and other victims also expressed their concern that the vandalism happened all over the city.

"Makes you want to move out of the town," Dombrowski said.

Police are investigating. In the meantime, victims are left asking why it happened in the first place.

"I mean, why would you want to do that to other people's vehicles? It don't make any sense," Snow said.
