ARDMORE, OK - The Southern Oklahoma Children's Christmas Parade rolled down Main Street in Ardmore this morning.

This is the 36th year for the parade to go on and about 70 groups participated this year.

Each float could either pay a $20 dollar entrance fee or bring a toy. All the proceeds go toward Toys for Tots.

One of the co-chairs explained why this parade is important for the community, especially children.

"It's Christmas, it's a magical time, and it's great to help all children no matter who they are or where they're at in their situation," said Gina Quary, parade co-chair.

In the commercial float category Michelin won first place and Dollar General won second.
