PARIS, TX -- As school got underway around the state today, one school in Paris had to close down for the day due to a fire.
Firefighters arrived at the Paris Alternative school in the 3200 block of Graham Street around 6:30 this morning. They found furniture in one of the school's hallways on fire as well as a small fire in one of the bathrooms.
Authorities suspect arson, after finding a broken window and several traces of a fire accelerants in the hallway.
The school was closed today, but school officials say the doors will be back open tomorrow.
