DURANT, OK-- Restaurants and businesses will be on showcase this weekend in Durant.
It's the third annual "Taste of Durant" this Saturday from 6 PM to 9 PM. Businesses down town and specialty shops will be offering samples from their stores.
There will be wine tasting, as well as an auction for local artist paintings.
Money raised will go to the New Life House. A place to help women get back on their feet.
The event sponsored by Leadership Durant. They say it gives local business a chance to show what they bring to the community.
"We are nothing with out the businesses in our community and we really just want to bring attention and high light who we are and everything we have to offer. Because Durant is a great community. And I don't think people realize how much there really is in Durant," Shayla Olson-Nesby said.
