ARDMORE, OK -- Plans are underway for a big project in Ardmore that will draw more businesses in and improve the city's economy.

It may just be an empty field now, but soon the Ardmore Development Authority and the ATP Development will be building a Technology Park west of 1-35 between Plainview and Kings Road. Vice President of the ADA Brien Thorstenberg says the purpose of the park is to bring high technology companies into Ardmore, along with bringing in higher paying skilled jobs. He says the park will be the perfect place for companies that are just starting out.

"These are industries that will be growing. They're not, you know, old industries. These are start up companies, and so, it will, you know, again contribute significantly to the economic vitality of Southern Oklahoma," Thorstenberg said.

Thorstenberg says the Technology Park will be laid out over 47 acres, and will be finished around Summer of 2012.
