Texoma kids decorate pumpkins for literary lesson

SHERMAN, TEXAS -- Some Texoma kids got in the Halloween spirit today.

Fairview Elementary 4th graders decorated pumpkins as literary characters for a classroom project.

"The assignment was to choose a favorite picture book of theirs and then create a character out of a pumpkin," teacher Andrea Wiggins said.

We saw an Angry Birds pumpkin, a snowman pumpkin and a Spongebob Squarepants pumpkin.

The kids did these projects at home, so the parents also got to be involved.
