DENISON, TX-- This week is the annual Grayson County Livestock Show.
It's the one of the last shows for the FFA and 4H kids to show their animals off that they've been taking care of all year.
The Annual Texoma Livestock Show is taking place at the Expo grounds at Loy Lake Park. This is one of the largest junior livestock shows in the area. Around 600 kids attend every year and bring around 1,000 different animals.
Livestock officials say participants have learned to care for the animals and travel around the state and meet new people.
The Grayson County animal showcase gives the FFA members and the 4-H organization a chance to show off their hard work.
"Some of them already have had other animals that they've taken to say, ft. Worth or Houston, to the major livestock shows, but there is just more of a personal touch and a lot of pride showing at your county show," Corgie Fisher, Vice President of Texoma Livestock Show, said.
The event is free to the public.
