Sherman residents had some fun in the sun at Thursday's opening of The Splash Family Aquatic Center at Fairview Park.
The water park is equipped with slides, a diving board, a splash play area, and a 120-foot current channel.
The pool is free for children two and under. $4 for children under 15. $5 for ages 16 and up. Sherman residents can purchase individual season passes for $75 or a family pass for $110. Non-resident individual passes are $100 and non-resident family passes are $140. A 10-admission punch card is also available for $30 for Sherman residents and $40 for non-residents.
The park will host an end of school party for 5th-8th grade children on June 6 from 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. The cost of the party is $4.
Fathers bringing their kids to the park on Father's Day (June 16) will receive free admission for the day .
Family night is planned for June 19 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Games and prizes will be provided. The cost for a family of four is $10 plus 2$ for each additional family member.
The end of summer party will be August 19 for 5th-8th grade children from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. with a $4 entry fee.
The Parks and Recreation Department will offer a Learn to Swim Program for people of all ages and skill levels. Classes are $35 for residents and $45 for non-residents.
The park also has party and private cabanas available to rent.
The facility will be open from noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 25 and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 26. Splash's Memorial Day hours will be 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. The park will close from May 28 until June 1 when regular weekend hours of Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. will begin. The pool will close on June 3-4. June 5-7 hours will be 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Regular hours will resume June 8.
