"50/50" is a balancing act of emotions, inspired by the true story of its writer.

Gordon-Levitt plays 27-year NRP radio reporter, Adam Lerner, who's life begins to unravel after discovering he has a rare and possibly fatal form of cancer.

Adam's friend, played by Seth Rogen, makes the tone of the movie upbeat despite the obvious tragedy.
