Two Sherman city officials running for mayor
SHERMAN,TX-Two long-time Sherman city officials will face off for the mayor's seat in November.
Deputy mayor Willie Steele and council member Cary Wacker are both running for the seat being vacated by Bill Magers. Magers reached the term limit for the position and will step down in November.
Sherman City Clerk Linda Ashby said city council member Steve Jonse is running for Steele's at-large place 1 seat. She said Sherman Planning and Zoning Commissioner Jason Sofey is running for Wacker's council seat
The election is on November 6.
