PARIS, TX-- The Paris Economic Development Corporation has filled their vacant board spot.

Monday night, the Paris City Council unanimously appointed the CEO of Paris Regional Medical Center, Stephen Grubbs, to replace Toni Clem on the PEDC board.

Clem resigned last month after serving on the board since 2012.

Grubbs hopes his work ethic and leadership will be beneficial to the city of Paris.

"I've always believed that in my position in leadership at the hospital it's important for me to plug in, be apart and give back to the community," said Stephen Grubbs.

The three other candidates who applied for the position were Reverend James Price, Roy Beard and Thomas Dunning.

Grubbs will fill the last year and a half on Toni Clem's term.
