COLBERT, OK -- Bryan County residents living near Colbert city limits should expect to have no water at various times throughout the night.

Colbert Mayor, Roxanne Reed, says they're trying to locate a major water leak that is believed to be the cause of low water pressure in the city.

School is cancelled Wednesday for all students at Colbert Public Schools.

Low water pressure forced school to be let out early Tuesday.

"When you think about all the meals we prepare and the water we use to clean the dishes and stuff like that. Plus, the restrooms, I mean, you know we made that decision. It's basically a health deal," high school principal Gary Walton said.

All Colbert residents are asked to conserve water for the time being.

Officials say the water is safe to drink.
