DENISON, TX-Denison's Waterloo Lake Park Master Plan is moving forward.

La Terra Studios presented their findings about which amenities and changes residents want to see at Waterloo Park. They said most residents want to keep the park as natural as possible, maintain hiking trails and add activities like paddle-boating. City officials also gave input at Monday's meeting. The design company says upgrading the park will also help it be ADA compliant.

"It's important to keep it up to standards and provide accessibility to areas that may be difficult right now for a wheel chair or people in strollers having trouble getting into areas with the degraded pathways," said project manager, Brad Mouldin.

The company will now work on the project design to determine the cost. They hope to present their plans next month.
