BRYAN COUNTY, OK -- A case of west nile has been officially confirmed in Bryan County, as well as 3 probable cases of the virus.
To date, Oklahoma has had 72 cases of West Nile this year, and 3 deaths from the virus.
Bryan County has not decided to spray for mosquitoes in the county.
Oklahoma is using an informative campaign to get the word out to its residents about the virus.
"The idea is that knowledge is power and it's the best preventative. Now once it becomes something that's bigger, and we'll pray that it doesn't. And then there will be other steps that will come down from the state that we'll start initiating," said Jeremie Fisher, Local Emergency Response Coordinator for Southeastern Oklahoma.
