WILSON, OK--The Wilson police department will soon be getting an upgraded radio system. The McCrory Foundation has just approved a $5,500 grant to the City of Wilson that will be used toward a repeater system. The system will cost $9,000 saving the city $3,500.

Mayor Frank Schaaf said the new system will strengthen the radio signal and allow police officers to better hear radio traffic and respond to emergencies faster. The city expects to have the repeater system within the next few months.
