HEALDTON, OK--A Healdton Police officer has been suspended after he was accused of abusing his wife while he was on duty.

Officer, Shawn Felder, was suspended without pay Monday. Healdton Police Chief, Zach Brown, said Felder is being investigated for spousal abuse by the Carter County Sheriff's Office.

They said Felder's wife claims she was injured during an altercation with her husband over the weekend. The investigation has been turned over to the District Attorney's office. Charges have not yet been filed.
