I agree with foxfan. Could someone please tell me when the fox signal will stop all the freezing up? I would appreciate a watchable fox channel. ;)

Let's hope the current work will make the Fox signal less jumpy. At least MyNetworkTV & CBS don't freeze.

Kathy, I know it's frustrating when things don't work but I don't think you need to buy anything else. Your converter box was working on the 18th, so unless it broke the problem must be a weak signal. At the top of http://www.kxii.com/hdtv/headlines/39180352.html there's a "crawl" saying that KXII is back at low power, but I don't work for them so I don't know if that information is up-to-date. Give them until the weekend to see if the power goes back up; that's what I'm going to do. Pottsboro is close to Madill so you shouldn't need a rooftop antenna; rabbit ears should work. It might help to put them along a north exterior wall as high and as far from metal objects as you can, and to flatten them out and extend them to about six feet total length (three feet each "ear"). Scan for channels and see if that works. If so you can experiment with more convenient locations for the rabbit ears and see what works and what doesn't.

I purchased a converter box although I do not watch much T.V. The only thing nice I can say about this whole "transition" was my picture came in clear up until the 18th.Now nothing! Now you tell us you may need better antenna maybe even roof top or better yet go buy a new TV.Whatever maybe we should leave things alone upgrade upgrade no wonder were broke!! Its sick. Can we get our money back for the so called "converter box"? NO i know i'm sure this one is numbered to ME.I know we had the choice to do it or not, I caved like an idiot.Know I have a fish bowl???

I recieve 10, 10.1, 10.2, 10.3 dose that mean i need to purchase a different antanna, or is the KXII digital siginal not at full power at this time. KXII has our favorite programs, local news, and weather. Hope this problem can be solved, from previous comments i am not alone. thank you for time. Elizabeth, try rescanning after Friday night when we shut down the analog transmitter. We'll be full strength on the digital after that. -Staff

I received coupons about 30 days ago. Never really looked at them except for the 40.00 off print. Searched several stores and they either had some at 70.00 or sold out. I chose to shop around and found some at 48.00. I got up to the cashier and she tells me the coupon is expired. Now What ! Another Goverment Scam !

i have spent 40 dollars for an antenna then 25.00 for another and bought 2 converters one costing over 25.00 with coupon. if the reception is going to be better than what i have i guess i won't be abel to watch, i can't afford to pay for satellite service. maybe that is why the government is postponing the date for conversion or maybe part of the reason

I am having some difficulties with the connection of the DTV converter box to my television. All i get is a big nothing, when my DTV converter box shows no signal when it is tuned in as I am unable to get this KXII-TV digital signal. But on February 6th.,2009,KXII-TV Channel 12 covering Sherman,Denison Ardmore and Ada,will be turning off the analog transmitter permanently to prepare for the digital transition,as the analog signal of Channel 12 will no longer be available. I do have a DTV Converter box since September, but I'll have to look for a better digital antenna when I go to an electronics store. I'll continue to watch KXII-TV and KTEN on my DTV converter box right after the transitions come in less than one month. I'll never miss all the shows on KXII-TV.

After you did the initial switching over last year, the reception was good with the converter box. Then all of a sudden it's all garbled, pixley, etc. The signal shows 45-47 sometimes 50's and still the picture is horrible. We can get KTEN with no troubles at all, what is up?? We sure hope you can get this fixed before the total transition. Would hate to miss our favorite shows on KXII.

Like so many others who have already posted, I am unable to get a KXII digital signal. I get a clear picture on analog. I am going to be very disappointed if I can no longer receive KXII programing after Feb. 17. I hope this is something that will get worked out when you are at 100%. I wonder, will you be at 100%?

I have tried to connect the DTV box to my television. I can not get any stations to come in to my tv. I have Direct TV and I also have a house antenna. We have been watching KXII and KTEN for years and now it appears we won't be able to do so. My son has a televison that does not require the box. He only has the outside antenna. He can get KTEN with three different stations, the signal is 26 for channel 10. It appears Channel 10 has already switched over. Has channel 12? If so, why can't either of us pick up the station?

STOP TELLING PEOPLE TO GET A COUPON---According to the government website there are NO FUNDS left and you will NOT receive a coupon. KXII, will you PLEASE do some up-to-date research and information instead of just repeating yourself and only giving half the story? The govt website still makes you sign up, but at the end, states that all funding is GONE and they don't anticipate getting more funding so you WON'T get any assistance unless further funding magically happens.

The Digital TV Transition
February 17th, 2009, the era of analog broadcast television ended in the United States. While the change marked the end of the traditional analog method of broadcasting over-the-air television, it hasn’t signaled the end of free broadcast television. Your favorite broadcast programs and local television stations will still be available.

Consumers that subscribe to a "pay" television service such as cable and satellite have not been affected by the switch, but if you received analog television over the air or via an antenna, you’ll need to take action to continue watching your favorite stations, if you have yet to do so already.
What You Need to Know
TV sets that currently receive programming through cable or satellite are not likely to be affected by the transition to digital.

However, TV sets that rely on "over the air" broadcasting with an antenna (set-top or rooftop) to receive a signal will be affected by the cutoff of analog broadcasts in 2009. You will need to consider one of the following options:
  • Purchase a digital-to-analog converter box that plugs into an existing television. The boxes, which are expected to cost between $50 - 70 will be available for purchase in 2008. Beginning on January 1, 2008, U.S. households can request up to two coupons valued at $40 each. Each coupon can go toward the purchase of a single set-top converter box that will allow you to continue watching FREE "over-the-air" television on an analog set.
  • Subscribe to a cable, satellite or telecommunications service provider if all desired local broadcast stations are carried by that service.
  • Purchase a new television set with a built in digital tuner.
Any of these steps will ensure that "over-the-air" television consumers will continue to receive programming.
