This month is Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) month.
Peripheral artery disease is a circulatory problem where narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to your limbs.
When you develop peripheral artery disease (PAD), your extremities — usually your legs — don't get enough blood flow to keep up with demand. This causes symptoms, most notably leg pain when walking.
A good way to know if you have PAD is to get screened.
