SAVOY, TX -- Another Texoma school district is closing its doors temporarily due to a high number of kids out sick with flu like symptoms.
Savoy ISD superintendent Brian Neal says the district made the decision Monday afternoon to close down for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after roughly 20 percent of students were out sick by the end of the day.
Neal says unfortunately it's homecoming week at Savoy, but not to worry -- they will hold homecoming festivities in January during basketball season instead, and a queen has already been voted. The queen's identity will remain a secret until January.
Schools will reopen Friday.
