This time of year can make it hard to get rid of that nasty cough or non-stop sneezing. In this Safe Family report, Ryan Loyd explains ways you can kick your cold to the curb.
Is your cough getting out of control? Are your sinus headaches or sneezing something you could live without? If so, you are not alone. It's the season of allergies and the common cold.
Pharmacists say you could wait it out, or you can check out several over-the-counter mediations that will soothe your sore throat or make you sneeze much less frequently.
What causes it to stick around?
Of course, being around other sick people isn't going to keep your body safe from the sickness, but the kids have to go to school, and you have to go to work. That's why it's important to wash hands often, don't drink after someone else, and try to go outdoors less.
If you've slept all you can sleep, and you've drank all the fluids you can hold, it just might be time to see a doctor.
Places like the Medicine Shoppe are offering flu shots if you still need to get yours. (See related stories below)
