There is a massive recall of cribs that have a drop side.
A company called Stork Craft makes the more than two million drop side cribs that have been recalled. The problem involves plastic hardware that can break causing the side rail to detach from the crib creating a space big enough for an infant to become trapped and suffocate. Four children have died so far.
The Consumer products safety commission says drop side cribs are on the way out... In favor of cribs without movable parts.
Today's crib recall involves more than 2-point-1 million DROP SIDE cribs made by Stork Craft between January 1993 and October 2009.
nearly 2-hundred thousand of these cribs have the Fisher Price logo.
The C-P-S-C is urging parents to stop using the recalled cribs immediately.
