This week's terrible flooding caused debris and storm damage for many Texomans. Now the long road to recovery is keeping your family safe with the right supplies.

Gainesville Church of Christ members are on the move -- making sure the people who suffered from the storm's have what they need to continue on.

Brooms, cleaners to kill bacteria, and first aid equipment are all very important for clean-up.

Programs like operation blessing aim to provide emergency assistance after disasters and deliver millions of pounds of food and countless supplies.

And even local charities are helping out.

The Sherman Salvation Army is handing out these care kits so that clean-up can start right away.

Staying safe after a disaster sometimes means accepting the help that's offered or asking for a helping hand from friends and neighbors.
