In todays safe family report.... many of us know that sodas are not the healthiest beverages out there... But are there hidden health dangers?
A new study by the University of Minnesota has found that drinking 2 or more sodas a week can increase a subjects risk of developing pancreatic cancer by 87 percent.
Experts recommend consuming less sugar by drinking diet soda or other drinks.
But some Doctors are wary of the New study... Saying there are more important risk factors that people should keep in mind...
"If a patient wanted to reduce their risk of pancreas cancer the number one thing they should do is not smoke.... That's the one thing to be proven to have a very high increase in the relative risk of pancreas cancer... More than 3 times what the study suggests the increase by soda consumption was."
Other studies show obesity also has a strong link to pancreatic cancer.
