Drinking is an unsafe activity for anyone if it's not controlled or done in moderation. But for high school students who are on the verge of college, the message of controlled drinking couldn't be stronger. Police are educating young people about the dangers of binge drinking. Binge drinking is considered heavy drinking in a very short amount of time.
"Paents don't know what it is and how to prepare their kids for it," said Sgt. Bruce Dawsey with the Sherman Police Department. That's why the department is producing book marks and other material to educate people.
