Battle of the Axe tickets go on sale Saturday in Sherman, Monday in Denison
DENISON, TX -- A limited number of general admission tickets to the annual shootout between the Denison Yellow Jackets and the Sherman Bearcats will go on sale Monday morning in Denison, and Sherman ISD officials say tickets will be sold starting at 8 a.m. Saturday at the ticket booth on the east side of Bearcat Stadium. Wow i think all of yall denison fans r forgetting that the only thing yall are beating us in is rushing, we have yall in passing tackleing sacks and points, i still think its goin to be a good game, my prediction: SHS 28, DHS 21

But isn't it true that Denison doesn't allot all of the visitor side to actual visitors? Theu reserve a good portion to their students. Sherman students sit on the home side, why doesn't Denison students?

I have to agree that I would much rather live in Sherman than Denison, but I would have to take the school system with me. The kids are great and this team is going to take the "AXE" 70-35 Yellowjackets Win!!!!

Public Notice:: A major sink hole has been discovered by downtown Sherman. The public should be aware that they could be swallowed up if near the area. Beware if you are in the area of Bearcat Stadium.. Good luck to all!!!

Jackets! Jackets! Jackets! Sherman who? I know that it will be a good game on Friday, but come on. Denison is going to win hands down. I guarantee that the Sherman fans will have more seating than we had last year in that sardine can they call a stadium. STING'EM JACKETS!!!!

Hey, LOL, The reason that Sherman gets bussinees is that Sherman gives tax writeoffs to do so. Back to football, Denison with a win will have won 6 of 7. Looks to me that Sherman would love to be like Denison. The Axe stays home, Denison is too much for Sherman..Maybe next year.. Ex Shermanite

I WOULD RATHER PLAY IN MUD THAN SIT IN A STAND THAT IS IN SUCH BAD REPAIR IT HAS TO BE CHECKED BE EACH GAME. SOMEONE DID HAVE A GOOD IDEA SHERMAN AND DENISON NEED PUT ASIDE THE B.S. AND GO TOGATHER AND BUILD A NEW STADIUM BETWEEN SHERMAN AND DENISON SO WE COULD ALL HAVE A FIRST CLASS PLACE TO PLAY. BURY THE AXE AND GET TOGATHER FOR THE BEST OF TWO WORLDS

IT WILL BE GREAT TO FINALLY PLAY THE #111 BOTA AT DENISON IN A YEAR THAT BOTH TEAMS ARE FLYING HIGH. IT'S BEEN TWO YEARS SINCE THE JACKETS HAVE PLAYED HOST AND WHAT A YEAR TO DO SO. MAY THE BEST JACKET WIN!!!

Where on this article does it say "Denison fans can only purchase tickets??" Does there need to be a brail section on this site? Makes no sense. The season ticket holders get first bid each year, then the students....then general admission. Are the Bearcat fans going to show their electrical bill to prove residence? No. Give me a break. Get there early like the rest of the Denison/Sherman folks and hopefully you will get a ticket. This exact thing happened last year to me while in the game was in Sherman. First come, first serve. Ridiculous comments.

I went to the Sherman field this week and got a mud facial. The Bearcat Spa. Was so nice....warm mud, bearcats paws on the field. My complexion will look nice during the game. Thank you Bearcat field.

From what I read it says " Sherman ISD officials say tickets will be sold starting at 8 a.m. Saturday at the ticket booth on the east side of Bearcat Stadium. Prices are $7 for reserved, and $6 for general admission, limit four per person" To me that means Sherman will be selling tickets!
