Melissa wins state, beats Hempstead 28-15
The Melissa Cardinals defeated the Hemptead Bobcats, 28-15, to win their first ever state championship in high school football.

The Melissa Cardinals defeated the Hemptead Bobcats, 28-15, to win their first ever state championship in high school football.
The game was tied at 7-7 at halftime, but Melissa increased their lead in the 2nd half. The Cardinals put together a three-touchdown third quarter that made the difference, and held on for the 28-15 victory.
Melissa High School first opened its doors in 2003, and now already hase a state title.
