1 arrested after high speed chase through Lamar Co.

LAMAR COUNTY, TX-- A man is behind bars after leading law enforcement on a high speed chase through Lamar County.

The sheriff's office tells us around 10 Monday morning, two deputies were investigating illegal narcotics trafficking in the Paris area, when they saw a man wanted on a parole violation warrant out of the Greenville area.

Deputies, and members of the Paris PD narcotics unit, attempted to stop him, but he took off on his motorcycle leading officers on a high speed chase down 19/24.

Sheriff's deputies say Jack Stoneking was eventually arrested around 2:30 P.M. at a home on FM 137, after a woman called saying a man was on her property.

Deputies found the motorcycle was reported stolen out of Greenville.

He's being held in the Lamar County Jail.
