50 Years for Denison Murder

9-10-04 - A Grayson County jury recommended a sentence of 50 years in prison for a Denison man who claimed he killed in self-defense. Scott McMenamy shot James West last August.

The jury deliberated for much of Friday afternoon before reaching the decision. They found McMenamy guilty of murder Wednesday afternoon.

Defense attorneys claims McMenamy was acting in self-defense when he shot West on Morgan Street.
