Texas Governor hopeful Bill White to stop in Denison

DENISON, TX - The Texas Democrat on the ballot for governor this fall will spend Thursday in Denison.
Former Houston mayor Bill White will be the special guest at a Forum on Education at Grayson County College scheduled for Thursday night. The event is open to the public. Key issues to be discussed are funding, testing and accountability, governance, and dropout rates. The Denison Rotary Club will also host White Thursday at their noon meeting.
White beat out beauty industry tycoon Farouk Shami in the March primary election. He faces incumbent Republican Governor Rick Perry in November's general election.
