Video will be available shortly.

9-11-04- A 6 year old Denison child died Saturday after he was run over Friday night by a car while skateboarding down a driveway. Police say Jacob Hester could not stop the skateboard and went out into the street when he was run over by the car

The accident happened about 6:30 p.m. Friday in front of a home in the 1100 block of South Fairbanks. 83 year old James Cox was driving the vehicle and did not see the little boy. Hester crashed into the side of the vehicle and was then run over.

Hester was taken by ambulance to Texoma Medical Center and then airlifted by medical helicopter to Dallas Children's Hospital. He was pronounced dead just after 5:00 p.m. Saturday.

The accident is still under investigation, but investigators say charges will likely not be filed.
