Accident near AC

SHERMAN, Tex. -- A major car accident in Sherman on Monday morning tied up traffic near Austin College around nine o'clock at the intersection of Houston and Grand.

Firefighters had to cut the driver of the pickup out of the vehicle, which had flipped in the accident. According to police, the 88-year-old man driving a Toyota Camry ran a red light and hit the pickup.

The 38-year-old woman inside was flown to Parkland Hospital in Dallas in as a precaution, but her injuries did not appear to be life threatening.

    thank you frustrated! how was this person still driving?? i hope by the time i am 88 either the dmv or my family has taken my keys away. how can you drive when you can't see?

    Hmmmm...just another good reason to get these old people off the streets, i see more and more everyday, it's ridiculous!!!!

    i wish some one would do a story for the community about our hospitals in grayson county and why we do not have a trama unit. if any hospital is planning a trama unit. why does everyone get flow to dallas if they have trama.
