Looking For a New Home

Video will be available shortly.

9-14-04 - Dozens of dogs rescued from a north Texas home could soon have a new home. 45 of the 115 Chihuahuas that were packed into a 3-bedroom home in Honey Grove are now available for adoption.

The SPCA seized the animals two weeks ago, after a neighbor alerted authorities to the home. The dogs’ owner had been breeding from for at least six years, leaving the dogs inside the home while she often slept outside in her car.

Many of the dogs were the product of inbreeding and some were in such poor health that they had to be put to sleep.

The McKinney and Dallas shelters will have some of the dogs available for adoption at noon on Friday. The Colony also has some of the dogs. They will be available at nine in the morning. For more info call 1-888-animals or click here
