GAINESVILLE, Tex. -- State Senator Craig Estes made a stop in Texoma to get feedback from residents in Grayson and Cooke County.
One of his stops was the Gainesville State School, the Texas Youth Facility in Gainesville. Estes met with teachers and faculty to talk about education and commended them on their care of more than 300 students.
The Senator also met with members of the ‘Less Tears, More Years’ campaign. He says that changes to teen driving requirements need to be made.
"Every once in a while, you get something where you say, ‘Well that just makes common sense. Why didn't we think of that before?’ and we'll work on those good common sense ideas and try to make them into law," said Estes.
Senator Estes also took part in a town meeting in Gainesville last night at the North Central Texas College.
