New jobs coming to Ardmore
ARDMORE, OK - New jobs are headed to Carter County. The Dollar General Distribution Center in Ardmore is hiring for 100 available positions.

ARDMORE, OK - New jobs are headed to Carter County. The Dollar General Distribution Center in Ardmore is hiring.
Dollar General has been in Ardmore since 1994, and Ardmore Development Authority Vice President Brien Thorstenberg says they plan to provide even more jobs to the community in the months to come.
Thorstenberg says Dollar General Corporation has had record profits for the last two years and the company is growing. He says because the company is doing so well there are more than 100 job openings. Most of the positions will be production jobs located at the distribution center Different positions require a higher education degrees, but they will consider applicants with high school diplomas.
Thorstenberg says the company's growth will be great for the city of Ardmore.
"It puts a lot more money into the Ardmore economy. Those people will be spending you know everything from restaurant to video stores and everything else," Thorstenberg says.
If you would like to apply at the Dollar General Distribution Center you can go to the Ardmore Workforce Center or the Ardmore Airpark to pick up an application.
